Norman P. Madsen, Ph.D.
Norman P. Madsen, Ph.D. of Clayton, Missouri is Executive Director of College Advancement and the Foundation for Southwestern Illinois College.
Dr. Madsen has a Ph.D. in history from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, a Masters degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey and Bachelors degrees from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and Hope College in Michigan.
Prior to his appointment as SWIC, Dr. Madsen was a consultant and recruiter for international, campus, adult and online programs. He has served as provost for international and online programs at Ottawa University, president of Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma and Kendall College in Evanston, Illinois; vice president for academic affairs at McKendree College in Lebanon, where he also was professor or religion and philosophy; and dean of students at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.
